PEAK NEWS:

We have just added some really nice new toys to our UK studio 1 racks and mic cases including a Focusrite ISA Two Pre, Phoenix Audio DRS-1 Pre, Universal Audio M610 Pre, SSL G Stereo Buss Compressor (The actual unit used on the buss mix for a lot of the earlier Death Cab For Cutie tracks), and a Telefunken M80 Dynamic Microphone (the rival for the 57 on snare). We also added a PreSonus VXP for studio 2.

Peak Studios is rapidly expanding with a second studio on the way. Studio 2 will be up and running with a flat response control room and a medium size dead room big enough to track drums. The control room will have the same Tannoy System 800 monitoring set up as used in Studio 1. This studio will be available for use as a mix room for external engineers to hire. Our sister studio, Peak USA is now up and running and making beautiful music!!! The studio is located in South Bend about an hour drive from Chicago and is run by Jason Allison, Nate Howell, and Kipp Koonce. The studio boasts an incredible gear list including a Focusrite Red 7, a Neumann U87, AKG 414's, Focusrite ISA's, a Summit Audio, Apogee Converters and a one off custom stage box designed and made at the Hummer car plant!!

The World's Greatest Sales Lesson, an audio book by Darren Kelly which was recorded at Peak Recording Studios UK has taken the number 1 slot in the iTunes audio book charts! Darren is an outstanding communicator and if you're involved in sales or business, this is definitely a book to check out.

A big WELL DONE to The Coopers, after their song "Ripples" (a track produced by Roni Szpakowski at Peak Recording Studios Leeds, Bradford) was used in two episodes of The Channel 4 Cult Comedy show "The Inbetweeners". You can hear the song soon on our "AUDIO/VIDEO/PICS" page.

4X12" a limited edition 12" vinyl compilation is due to be released on Dance To The Radio featuring "Behind Your Back" a single by Leeds band "Broadcast Society" which was recorded & mixed at Peak Recording Studios Leeds.

"Hollywood" a track written by Roni Szpakowski, featuring robotic vocals from Egor, was featured on MTV's "The Real World: Hollywood"

"This Isn’t Really Happening" a track written and performed by Producer Roni Szpakowski was used on NBC’s (USA) reality TV show "The Biggest Loser 5"
